2020 AHA Updates and COVID Resuscitation Guidelines

The American Heart Association issued best practice care updates in October of 2020.  Additionally, COVID has changed the way we care for high risk patients and resuscitation situations.

This course, a collaboration between Great Basin American Association of Critical Care Nurses & the High Sierra Nurses in Professional Development, aims to review the important, evidence-based updates to BLS, ACLS, and PALS algorithms.

Topics include:

  • Updated BLS, ACLS, and PALS treatment algorithms
  • Best practices in Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) and Stroke Care
  • Current research regarding COVID-19 sequela affecting ACS and Stroke patients
  • Resuscitation recommendations due to COVID-19

    • Critical Care, Emergency, and Acute Care Nurses
    • Final Semester Nursing Students

Multiple presenters including Sherry Stofko, MSN, RN, Board Certified in Nursing Education and Emergency Nursing, AHA Instructor
